Broadland recognises that in order to deliver Our Vision of ‘Improved life opportunities for people in Norfolk and Suffolk’ we need a highly skilled and competent workforce

CIH Partnership Agreement

In 2008 Broadland entered into a strategic partnership with the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) to support our plans to deliver high quality housing services and to enhance the skills and expertise within our team.

This partnership was the first of its kind between a housing association and the CIH in the East of England and helps to ensure that all employees and board members have key knowledge and skills, and access to the latest policy developments and best practice in the sector.
The agreement will involve the CIH providing Broadland with a wide range of customised services including skills development, membership of CIH, policy expertise, customised events, publications, professional development and induction services. We have also committed to a training programme to support some of our employees in achieving CIH qualifications.

EDGE Forward

EDGE ForwardBroadland participate in the EDGE forward mentoring scheme which is managed by the Housing Diversity Network. This is a staff mentoring programme designed to help people working in the housing sector to develop their career. It gives housing practitioners (working at any level in their organisation) a great opportunity for one to one mentoring sessions with a senior housing professional from another housing organisation over the course of one year.  There is also the opportunity to attend training courses on a range of topics.
